Smokey Robinson Partners With Joss Stone For ‘You’re The One For Me’ Single, Album

Iconic singer/songwriter Smokey Robinson has teamed up with popular BRIT Award-winning songstress Joss Stone for the famous American Idol premiered single “You’re The Only One For Me”!

Robinson says about Joss Stone:” My pet name for her is Aretha Joplin”.

Robinson, recently hailed in the Hollywood Walk of Fame, has reportedly performed the single with Joss Stone on Thursday’s episode of American Idol. Smoky also called the singer “Beautiful inside and out”.

Robinson, has also participated as the mentor during the course of last week’s “Motown’s Week” on American Idol. During this time he admonished the show and its producers stating: “ American Idol is the greatest platform for up and coming young talent in the history of music”

    I have heard that the new single, available through iTunes and Amazon, is the first cut from Smokey’s forthcoming as-yet-untitled album due this summer. Does anybody have more knowledge regarding this?
