Former “Destiny’s Child” starlet Kelly Rowland has reportedly been dropped from her recording contract at Columbia Records is much talked-about topic in the media nowadays.

Kelly Rowland
As the sources said, Rowland was dropped from the contract since Britain’s News of the World considers her no longer as “commercially viable”. Rowland, once enjoyed huge popularity for her stint in “Destiny’s Child”, which bagged the Multi-Platinum. She also topped in the chart for her smashing hit singles “Like This” and “Dilemma”.
Rowland’s departure from Columbia has resulted in her split with her long time manager, Matthew Knowles who is Beyonce’s father. In an article released recently Rowland the split “amicable” stating: “Mathew Knowles has been a positive influence in my career. I have had great success under his guidance - both as a member of Destiny’s Child and with my solo projects. Although we have decided to part ways professionally, the Knowles family and the entire Music World Entertainment team will always be my family”.
However, prior to the split, Rowland was reportedly busy with her third album with new management. Her last album titled “Ms. Kelly” peaked at no. 2 on the R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart.

I have come to learn from a news report that Rowland is eager to diversify her business dealings and want to work outside the music industry. She has also expressed hopes to write children books and hosting her own daytime talk show. Is it true? Do you have any more information regarding this?
