Fantasia Joins Patti Labelle In 42nd Hampton Jazz Fest

Former American idol and “ The Color Purple” star Fantasia has reportedly signed on for a performance at Hampton Jazz Festival this year.

To join the iconic superstars, Patti Labelle and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds for a long three day festival in Hampton, the American idol vet has taken a break from her ongoing projects. In recent times she was busy in recording her new album “Fantasia”, which is a follow up to her 2007’s “Hoodboy” and “When I See You”. In addition she is reportedly reprising her role as “Celie” in “The Color Purple.”
Along with fantasia, a group of superstars including Robin Thicke, Michael McDonald, The O’Jays, and the Forte Jazz Band are reportedly performing in the Annual Hampton Jazz Festival will take place June 25-28 at the Hampton Coliseum.
Tickets for the 42nd Annual Hampton Jazz Festival go on sale Saturday, March 28.
I have heard that the Verve recording star Ledisi has also been signed for a performance in the 42nd Annual Hampton Jazz Festival. Is it true? Can anybody throw some more light to the fact?
