Leona Lewis trumps Coldplay, Rihanna on most downloaded list.
Leona Lewis is the new queen of itune downloads.Selling 3.2 million digital copies, as per her label J Records, Lewis has risen to being the most downloaded singer in 2008.
Lewis hopped aboard the itunes list this year alongside giants like Coldplay and managed to out-download contemporary superstars like Rihanna,Lil’ Wayne and Chris Brown.
According to itunes Lewis’ “Bleeding Love” hit the top spot while Coldplay settled just below at number 2 followed by “Low” by Flo Rida, “I Kissed A Girl” by Kate Perry and “Disturbia” by Rihanna.
Sultry Rihanna also climbed aboard the top 10 singles list with “Don’t Stop The Music” while also featuring on the itunes top 10 downloaded singles list were “No Air” by Jordin Sparks, “Love Song” by Sara Bareilles, “Pocketful of Sunshine” by Natasha Bedingfield and “Lollipop” by Lil’ Wayne and Static Major.
She sure is queen of the downloads - cos if you get known thru reality tv then its gonna be all those bored people watching TV who go and download your songs. A Moment Like This just summed up X Factor so well and Bleeding Love is a classic style love song. Everyone loves a ballad from time to time. And it helps that she looks cool and is British!
I agree with Carlygirl. Reality TV gives you a lot of hype. That is inevitable. You really can’t help it. Can you? 3.2 million digital copies - is certainly a huge figure. She is a lucky girl. “Bleeding Love” had to be a big hit, it is different and I just love it. Yeah she has her looks to add to the success.
There is nothing to deny that. Leona Lewis is indeed the latest queen of itune downloads and she is earning a lot from too it. Many of my friends have also downloaded her songs. Well I did not know that this year she was the most downloaded singer. That must be something great for her.
How could she manage to outdo all the others in the rat race? She does have something called an X factor. That can be a possibility. How could she beat other biggies like Coldplay, Lil’ Wayne, Rihanna, and Chris Brown. All of them are good too. However she has plenty of good luck to support her.
