A man that no love greater than his love for Chicken McNuggets. That ‘not so age old’ phrase seems to be the credo for R&B star Keith Sweat.

The “Twisted” singer loves McNuggets and isn’t afraid to tell the world, in the form of a new song he’s written called “Ode to Chicken Nuggets.”

The exclusive song will debut on Sweat’s nationally syndicated radio show “The Sweat Hotel” to mark the 25th anniversary of the popular menu item.

The song can be seen on Sweat’s official website thesweathotel.com where McNugget lovers can compete for the title of “the Biggest Self Proclaimed “McNuggets Lover” and a “McNuggets Mania” Prize pack which includes McDonald’s Arch Cards (Gift Voucher equivalents) and so much McMore.

Is it just me that thinks this takes promotional ads to a lower dirtier level? Praising McNuggets because they pay you to do so is one thing. But sticking the track on your radio show? What next ? News reporters stopping a live feed from poverty-stricken Darfur to promote Burger King? This is just Starship Troopers vision coming to life before my eyes. I shouldn’t be so shocked, I guess. This is how the world turns.

As an ex-commodities broker its hardly a surprise to find Keith accepting sponsors for his show. It’s kind of a surprise that he NEEDS to. Apparently he’s sold more albums than LL.Cool.J, Cher, Bette Midler, Duran Duran or Will Smith, or so he says?

I guess its a sign of what even great artists have to do these days to make a living. Let’s face it - they sell their songs, their image, their lifestyle, they wear brand name clothes to promote certain designers, what difference does it make if they promote Chicken Nuggets as well? I still have the choice to go to Burger King - LOL!
