Guy Ritchie receives ‘record’ divorce settlement from ex-wife Madonna
On Monday, Madonna was finally ending and settling off her extremely public and much discussed divorce from Guy Ritchie. The legendary superstar’s spokesperson Liz Rosenberg claims that the she signed over between 50 and 60 million pounds – that’s about $76 to $ 92million – to her ex husband , director of the cult hit ‘Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’ according to the legal agreement made during the divorce.
The pair’s country residence in West England is also said to be part of the giant settlement.
Rosenberg adds “I’d assume it’s one of the largest payouts ever in a divorce settlement,”
It’s an oddity to see a rich woman divorcing a younger husband, and paying out a huge settlement. It’s a shame that their relationship has ended in divorce especially as children are involved but there hasn’t been horrible fighting in the press so perhaps they are ending their marriage with as much dignity as they will be allowed.
It’s kinda weird to read about a 75 mill payout from a wife, I agree, Isabel. But what’s weird about it is I can’t imagine that kinda money - let alone what lifestyle you must lead to make that essential when you split. I mean the guy makes enough money with movies and stuff - does he need Madonna’s money?
I read in the Daily Mail that Guy Ritchie said Madonna looked like a granny on stage and she would get jealous if he looked at a waitress or wasn’t sympathetic when she fell off a horse! So even celebs are just as petty and ridiculous as the rest of us then! Just with more money in the bank.
