R. Kelly Wouldn’t play games…if he was a girl: Beyonce Remix
R. Kelly takes a stab at presenting the male viewpoint in answer to Beyonce’s chart topping single “If I Were A Boy”.The R&B star makes his mark on the Toby Gad produced hit, replying “So I go to the club with the guys and sometimes flirt with the girls… You’re not a boy, so you don’t understand.”
Kelly’s remix could be the new age anthem for the male gender just as the ‘Bootylicious’ star hit it big by tapping into the girl’s psyche.
Kelly sings about not being a perfect man who explains “I should be able to roll out as long as I’m coming home to you” and the star tries to put himself into a girls shoes, heels or otherwise.
The lyrics claim that “If I were a girl. I wouldn’t play games.” And Kelly is dead serious. His “12 Play: 4th Quarter,” was due for release and a video for his single “Skin” came out in the Summer.
Why are grown up people behaving like kids? What will Kelly gain by doing this? I think he feels he will be able to grab all the attention of the media by doing this. That is very childish for sure. May be he is very insecure or is jealous about the Bootylicious babe’s success.
Hey, Bhav - this is an authorised remix - Beyonce has requested R Kellys contribution to give the song another flavour. They almost duet - with Kelly giving the macho response to our babe’s lyrics. You should give it a listen. I’m pretty sure some people will prefer it to the original.
It is excellent. I think Beyonce listened to the response to the video for If I Were A Boy and saw the potential for the R.Kelly mix. Ying and yang - If I were a girl I’d surely play games if it got me the attention I want. And thats all guys do when they flirt with other girls. Hook their babe right back to them.
