Bedlam at Urban Music Awards stops Estelle, Leona performing.
A fracas at the 6th Annual Urban Music Awards in London caused the show to be brought to a standstill. Police say that a man has been critically injured after being stabbed. The incident caused the event to be stopped just before stars Leona Lewis and Estelle took the stage.
The injured man is said to be in his 20’s and Metropolitan police confirm that one other victim was receiving treatment for minor injuries at a local hospital.
Chaos took charge at the O2 Arena where the show was underway on Saturday and guests attending the event said that Champagne bottles and chairs were thrown about.
Event organizers were compelled to put a stop to the show which boasted of a star list of performers like Adele, Estelle, Leona Lewis, Dizzee Rascal and Duffy.
Police are questioning scores of people who attended the ceremony and 1 man has been placed under arrest so far.
I am sorry for Adele, Dizzee Rascal, Estelle, Leona Lewis, and Duffy as they could not carry on with their show. Hey, why is violence everywhere? Can’t people just live and let others live? Something really needs to be done to a put a stop to all this. Can’t we make the world a place, where there is no violence?
